Wall Hung Pinch Pot Vase
A wall hung one-of-a-kind hand built organically shaped ceramic vase, made by a technique called pinching. The vase is made in a stoneware clay and glazed in a white matte glaze, on the outside the glaze is partly removed. The pattern is carved by hand and high light the shape of the vase. The vase has got two small holes to arrange small leaves or flowers and on the back is a hole to hang it up on the wall.
Designer / maker: swedish ceramicist Karin Eriksson. Karin is the founder of manos and she has her ceramics studio at the back of the shop. This is where she makes her ceramics by throwing, coiling, slab rolling or pinching. The materials Karin use, stoneware and porcelain, are high fired and durable. The goods is sometimes decorated with decals or engobes. Karin Eriksson has a BA (hons) in ceramic design from Central St Martins University of Art and Design in London.
Size (HxW): 8 x 7 cm
Material: high fired "Fyle" stoneware clay. The "Fyle" clay is a natural clay, from the south of Sweden.
Care: wash in the dishwasher or by hand
